Bungies first batch of DLC is around the corner, and what better way to learn about these maps then to hear it first hand from the guys that made them. Over the next 3 days Bungie is spilling the beans on the 3 new environments coming out next week, and first up is Anchor 9.
This map looks like it is exactly what Halo: Reach has been missing, and that is symmetrical based team maps. Anchor fits that bill perfectly and looks to be reminiscent of past memorable maps like Halo 3’s “The Pit”. Bungie is notorious for releasing their best looking, and best playing material post launch in the world of Multiplayer, and so far these maps have lived up to the reputation.
With space interaction, a highly detailed new space station, and a map configuration to support chaotic team play, Anchor 9 looks to be a promising addition to a great game. Check out Bungies preview below and be sure to let us know if you will be grabbing the first map pack. The release date is November 30th and from what I hear Gamestop also has a pre-order bonus for your avatar.
