Okamiden Pre-Order Bonus and Release Date

Okamiden Pre-Order Bonus and Release Date

Chris Hernandez 08 Nov

Finally, Okamiden has a release date and that is March 15, 2011 is the release date for Okamiden in North America, fans rejoice! The even better news is the Gamestop Pre-order bonus, something actually worth the effort, in my opinion. You’ll get a custom paintbrush stylus for the touch screen and a screen cleaner with Kuni and Chibiterasu on it. A final exciting note is the Facebook app, more details after the break.

Only 20,000 pre-order items will be available and people who do pre-order the game (MSRP $29.99) will receive both when the game is released.

Gamers can enter to win a 3DS, a copy of the game, Chibiterasu plushies, and other cool prizes while testing their painting skills with the new Goblin Mask Facebook app, which is available by clicking the Goblin Face Graffiti tab at www.facebook.com/Okami. The app is based on a challenge that Kuni and Chibi encounter in the Demon Market where they draw a face on a cloth in order to pass through without being recognized. Utilizing the Graffiti functionality actively used by 4.8 million people on Facebook, now you can draw funny or scary faces on any photos of your friends in traditional Okamiden style.

The Ps2 Okami game is awesome and with the DS’s stylus support I am sure that Okamiden is even better no to mention the fact that you can play it almost anywhere since its on a portable console.
    To bad I don’t own a Ds …

I had a chance to play this at Comic-Con and I will say it fits perfectly with the DS, almost as if it was Okami was meant for it to begin with. My only complaint it is the muddy graphics style, they should have tried to make it a cleaner cel-shaded look, more like Phantom Hourglass.
Still worth picking up if you own a DS.

The art direction for Okami is very Sesshu Toyo(esc) witch I love btw , hell if you Google Sesshu Toyo you will even find some Okami screenshoots … as for Okamiden well the graphics look like the ones used in Chinatown wars and as I remember that game had pretty good graphic …

It’s not so much the style that I don’t like it is just the muddy look it has, making it hard to distinguish between character and background, in some areas. I just want it to be crisper, maybe if they made it for the 3DS.
