Medal of Honor – DLC Next Week – Some Free…Some Not

Medal of Honor – DLC Next Week – Some Free…Some Not

Zack Dodge 27 Oct

Medal of Honor got off to a rocky start in a crucial time of the year for game releases. With unfavorable reviews right out of the gate, EA has been quick to report that DLC is on the way for those who purchased the game and redeemed their one time use code. On top of the free premium DLC, their will be some pay for content being released the same day. The content will cost $9.99 and will be available multi platform, the DLC will include a few different modes and maps. Some maps that are already available  since launch will have alternate versions released, sounds like what DICE does with the Battlefield maps, and of course their are some brand new maps and modes as well.

Part of the Premium ten dollar DLC, a new mode called Hot Zone will be unveiled. This sounds like a territory or king of the hill type setup and it will be playable on two different maps, the new maps are called Hindukush Pass and Korengal Outpost. The maps that will be re launched are Shahikot Valley and Helmand Valley.

For those that are premium members in the Medal of Honor community already, free content is on the way as well on the same day. A new game type called “Elimination Mode” which works as a one life per round, this looks to be more of a hardcore type that will enforce slower more methodical matches and not just mindless spraying. For those who do not have a premium code already, these codes can be purchased online as well, so no one is left out of any content. The new free mode will also be playable on redesigned versions of already existing maps.

Keep in mind all of this DLC is launching right before the release of Black Ops, will this be enough to keep what ever fanbase this game has on Medal of Honor or will new modern combat titles be to tantilizing. Let us know your thought!
