Today, Valve has announced the much anticipated DotA 2 which is said to be the most played game in the world! However, the press release on the game was short and we don’t have an lot of details but we know for sure in 2011 you will be able to own it on PC and Mac.
Dota 2 promises to take the unique blend of online RTS and RPG action that has made Dota popular with tens of millions of gamers and expand upon it in every way. Valve has also decided to trademark the name “DotA” which many gamers are “surprised that [Valve has] decided to try to trademark the DotA name, because it goes against what [they] and others believe DotA means to the community”
Although, Riot Games even counter-filed for the DotA trademark, pledging “to protect the work that [original DotA creator] Eul, Guinsoo and dozens of other modders have done to create the game,” adding, “if we were to obtain the trademark, we would keep the game and the DotA name freely available to the mod community.”

DotA2 by Valve? Sounds interesting.
I love League of Legends and Heroes of newerth is quite alright but I’m not a huge fan of the original DotA, But I am a huge fan of valve…
Hopefully they will make it awesome! And I’m also happy that valve isn’t making another sequel to their previous games.

I don’t really see whats the point calling the game “D.o.t.a 2” because there is no Game called DOTA, Dota is just a warcraft 3 map and I don’t really think that any1 cares about the name.
As for the whole “Riot Games” whats the rights well Fuck ’em … yeah F**k Riot games.Why ?!? Well …
They f****d up ; League of Legends is by all means NOT “[..], Addictive, Worthy.”,”The worthiest successor to Defense of the Ancients”,”One of the most refreshing strategy games in years.” like they claim it to be.
The only redeeming factor that LoL has is the fact that its “free” other then that here are my complains:
1.The Launcher and the so called “LoL Client” suck ballz , in fact by closing them via Task Manager the game runs almost two times faster.
2.The Champions are not balanced at all … some champions are waaaay better then others
3.Most of the time the game crashes/freezes for some storage reason
etc. etc.
4.Riot Games is full of shit …
So yeah I really think that Valve should take the Dota name coz I am sure that Valve will do a better job that Riot cold ever dream of …
