Gary Oldman, most likely known from the mega hit film The Dark Knight and more recently The Book of Eli, is set to voice Sgt. Reznov once again in Call of Duty Black Ops. He is not new to doing voice work in video games, which started almost 12 years ago in the video game adaptation of The Fifth Element; he then proceeded to more notable works, such as Medal of Honor Allied Assault (Sgt. Jack Barnes), True Crime: Streets of LA (Rasputin & Agent Masterson) and voiced Ignitus in a couple Spyro games. Being the great actor that he is, I am sure he will bring some life to Viktor Reznov as he did in World at War.
The next celebrity to lend his talents to Treyarch is Ed Harris, whose most recent memorable film happens to be Enemy at the Gates, at least to me. Harris, unlike Oldman has never done video game voices before, nor has he ever done voice over work, as far as I am aware. He will be taking the role of Jason Hudson, a CIA operative, whom is one of the main characters in the game, so he has a pretty big role. I am interested to see how his on screen talent transfers to a voiced, digital character.
We will find out soon enough with the games release less than a month away.
