Widely recognized as the Woodstock of gaming, QuakeCon kicks off tomorrow and runs for three days. Open free to the public with open support for mass lan play (bring your gaming rig), this truey is the largest lan party of the year. Quakecon is used as an excellent way to show off the latest in gaming technology and showcase any games that are being developed by affiliated studios.
This means new updates on some awesome FPS’s, amongst the show starting tomorrow news on Brink, Fallout New Vegas, Rage, Hunted, and……Doom 4, well maybe Doom 4. I can only hope that the new iD Tech 5 engine can eventually build an amazing modern look into the game that started it all, all of those years ago. More to come this week as QuakeCon progresses, so if you are in Dallas TX you know where to be.
