A “Leak” in the quarterly financial report released by EA has confirmed that Need For Speed: Shift 2 will be coming out in Q4, which is the first 4 months of 2011. For you simpletons, that means a release between January and March. This is right in the sweet spot of other major releases as well, which include Dragon Age 2, Dead Space 2, Crysis 2 and Too Two 2…that last one is a joke, but it will be pouring sequels for sure. Luckily there are no competing racing games announced for a similar slot, which means Shift 2 should be flying off the shelves in top gear.
There was absolutely no details released on the actual game or the mechanics themselves, but if you were a fan of the first one I am sure you will only love this one double more, because there are two of them! I am also going to go out on a limb and assume this will be released for both Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.
I am personally looking forward to this one.
