As the news slowly leaks out of Redmond we seem to be learning very little in terms of what exactly to expect from the phone itself, but at least now we know who’s getting it first.
Microsoft has announced that coming this October that Europe will be getting their hands all over this touchscreen marvel. Then, a month later, in November, America will see it’s release. It had been mentioned before that Microsoft was planning a holiday release, now this is a bit more specific.
No specs have been officially announced nor were any other regions’ releases announced. Still, from what has been shown of the device it could compete quite nicely along side the iPhone series phones as well as the up-and-coming Android platform.
Some major known features of Windows Phone 7 include: Hubs (integrated experiences for multimedia), The panoramic views that are provided within the platform’s multimedia functions, and Integration with key services such as Xbox Live, Zune, Facebook, and Office.
I am personally looking forward to HTCs’ version of the phone.
