Even as a dominant console gamer, the name StarCraft has always held a special place in my gamer heart. Memories of huddling around a friends computer monitor staying up all night in skirmishes are nights that have made me who I am today.
After a 10 year wait StarCraft 2 will finally grace store shelves this evening with a variety of midnight launches at major retailers. When sequels to popular game franchises aren’t just an annual addition, that tends to represent quality not quantity. I think this release is a perfect example of that, a 10 year wait can only promote anticipation amongst gamers, then again hype and gaming go hand and hand.
Blizzard game news tends to slip under my console minded radar, but this game deserves it’s limelight, so to those who have StarCraft 2 pre-ordered have yourselves an epic all nighter, and those who haven’t….I think you know what to do.
