Samsung launched a new version of the Galaxy S4 Zoom, which is its LTE capable version, in Europe. It is an Android smartphone with a camera that boasts of a 16 megapixel sensor, optical image stabilization and 10x optical zoom. It may be noted that Samsung announced Galaxy S4 Zoom in June earlier this year, which was immediately followed by a 3G version worldwide in July.
In case you need a remind, the Galaxy S4 Zoom is a hybrid of Galaxy S4 mini and a digicam with features like a 4.3” super OMOLED display, a 16 MP OIS camera and a 10X optical zoom. It runs on Android version 4.2 alongside Samsung’s Touchwiz skin. The processor is a powerful 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor and storage offered is 8 GB internal, along with a micro SD storage capacity upto 64 GB.
The LTE Samsung Galaxy 4 Zoom version adds support for 4G networks too. The 4G connectivity would enable the user to quickly upload their best shots on web, given that the phone is capable of snapping high-res photos.
The exciting new Samsung Hub, a one-stop destination for latest music, videos, books and games leads the phone’s entertainment features. Also, Group Play allows users share new tracks or games with friends over wireless, letting groups to play and listen together. Some of the other features of the phone includes Smart Mode, which enables user choose from a number of preset modes, the best pictures according to the current settings and Photo Signature, which lets people add signature (mark) to their images.
Various EU markets and carriers would soon be hit by the phone very soon. There has however been no official announcement of the pricing yet. Samsung suggests that the new LTE version will be available on a number of networks, which include Deutsche Telekom, Tele2, TeliaSonera and Orange.
