Siliconera is reporting that Insomniac Games, the studio behind Sony’s Ratchet and Clank and Resistance series, has filed a trademark for a game entitled “Bad Dinos.”
Nothing else is known about the project yet, but (and I’m making a huge leap in logic here,) the game will apparently be about dinosaurs who are bad. A game about morally bankrupt dinosaurs doesn’t sound particularly exciting, but given Insomnaic’s history, I’m sure it’ll be a quality game nonetheless. At the very least, the world could always use more games about dinosaurs.
While Insomniac is best known for their work on Ratchet and Clank, the company recently ended their exclusivity agreement with Sony and has been branching out with new titles: last Spring they released the multiplayer focused (mediocre) shooter Fuse (published by EA,) for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and they’re now currently working on the colorful Sunset Overdrive, which will be exclusive to the Xbox One. They’re also putting the finishing touches on Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus, which will wrap up the Ratchet and Clank Future story arc. Insomniac has yet to announce a release date for Sunset Overdrive, while the latest Ratchet and Clank will drop this November.
(note: the Bad Dinos from “Bad Dinos” probably won’t look anything like the bad dinos from the cartoon image posted above. Still, a Thunder Lizards game would be pretty bad-ass, right?)
