The Best of Playstation Network compilation coming this June

The Best of Playstation Network compilation coming this June

Michael Lacerna 01 May

There’s a ton of great games on PSN, and soon PS3 owners will be able to get a handful of the network’s best titles for a budget price. According to info gathered by Siliconera, Sony will release a special $20 compilation at retail that bundles together PSN hits like Fat Princess and Tokyo Jungle on one disc.

The compilation will reportedly include Tokyo Jungle, Fat Princess, Sound Shapes, and When Vikings Attack. It’s surprising that Sony would sell all of these games for a mere $20, since all four of those titles cost between $10-$15 on PSN individually.

I haven’t played When Vikings Attack, but I do own the other three games in compilation, and they’re all definitely worth getting, especially at that price. Tokyo Jungle in particular is a must-play: set in a post apocalyptic Tokyo, the game lets you play as a variety of animals as you try to survive, gather food, and breed. Tokyo Jungle was one of last year’s best sleeper hits, and while the game lacks some of the polish you’d expect from a modern title, it more than makes up for it with its unique gameplay and bizarre premise.

“The Best of Playstation Network: Volume 1” will reportedly be out this June, and the “Volume 1” at the end of the game’s title suggests that Sony is readying even more PSN games for a retail release.
