Tomb Raider and Quantum Conundrum together for $29.99 on PSN this weekend

Tomb Raider and Quantum Conundrum together for $29.99 on PSN this weekend

Michael Lacerna 27 Apr

Square-Enix is holding a weekend sale for two of their best recent releases on PSN: from now until noon on Monday, PS3 users can buy a special Tomb Raider/Quantum Conundrum bundle for only $29.99.

The sale is available to all PS3 users in North America, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. The bundle includes Quantum Conundrum, a digital copy of the  Tomb Raider reboot, as well as the DLC Shantytown multiplayer map pack, and 3 DLC costumes.

Tomb Raider was the second best-selling game of March, and while Square-Enix has publicly stated that they are disappointed with the game’s performance, that shouldn’t deter you from playing it yourself: it’s easily the best game in the series since 2006’s Tomb Raider Legend, and it’s a good example of how to do a franchise reboot properly.

Quantum Conundrum is the latest first-person puzzle-platformer from Portal designer Kim Swift, and while the game isn’t quite as good as Portal (a few of the puzzles’ solutions are so obtuse and impossible to figure out on your own that you might want to keep GameFAQs handy while you play,) it’s still an overall fun game with a charming story and atmosphere.

$29.99 is a crazy deal for a triple A, big budget action title that just came out a month ago, so the Tomb Raider bundle is definitely worth getting if you haven’t picked the game up yet (and Quantum Conundrum is a nice bonus.)
