For those who don’t know, Steam’s Greenlight service is a chance for the community to vote on the games they’d most like to see receive Steam support. Today, Valve released a list of the latest titles that eager fans can expect to get their hands on. As I’m sure you’ll recognize, many of these indie titles have been in the spotlight for their KickStarter/IndieGoGo pledge campaigns, and upon completion will now become available for download via Steam. Here is the full list for this week:
- Agarest: Generations of War
- Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures
- Battle Worlds: Kronos
- City of Steam
- Cradle
- Dead State
- Dead Trigger
- Death Inc.
- Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey
- Elsword
- Faceless
- Frozen Endzone
- Hammerwatch
- Legend of Dungeon
- Pinball Arcade
- Planet Explorers
- Rush Bros.
- Shovel Knight
For more details, you can click on any of the titles to be brought to their official Steam pages. I’m both surprised and impressed by the amount of support some of these titles have gotten so quickly. I’m especially excited to see both Shovel Knight and Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures make the cut, as the former has already proven to be a title worth checking out and the latter is based on one of my favorite webseries of all time. Either way, I like Valve’s approach with Steam Greenlight. It seems like a great way to give members of the the community what they want.
What do you all make of this list? Did any of the games you voted for make the cut this week? Do you like Valve’s approach to selecting new indie titles for platform support? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
