Nobody is worse at keeping new game titles a secret than Square-Enix: thanks to their web registrar, we already know that they’re probably making a new Legacy of Kain title, and thanks to a trademark filed by SE Europe today, we now know that Square is (probably) readying a sequel to 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
As usual, Square-Enix won’t confirm or deny anything about the game until they’re ready to officially announce it themselves, but it’s pretty safe to assume that they’re developing a sequel to Human Revolution, which was a critical and sales hit. Straight Right, the company that ported Bioware’s Mass Effect 3 over to Wii U, announced awhile back that they were porting over a “major Square-Enix game” over to Nintendo’s new console as well, and since that game isn’t Tomb Raider, a lot of people are now assuming that Straight Right’s “major” project is this new Deus Ex game.
If the title is indeed coming to Wii U, than it’s also probably safe to assume that it’s also coming to the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. While I think it would’ve been awesome to see what Deus Ex would’ve looked like on the PS4 or the New Xbox, I’m not going to complain about getting more Deus Ex, regardless of the platform — Human Revolution was one of my favorite games of 2011, and it’s easily the best Western game that Square has published ever since they bought up Eidos a few years back. Here’s hoping they put more effort into designing the boss fights this time, though.

I seriously hope they do make a sequel. Human Revolution was one of the best games i have ever played.
