Sometimes, I absolutely love the gaming industry and my fellow gaming community. Sometimes, I just scratch my head and wonder just who these people I throw my lot in with really are. To each his own, I always say, but the Love Plus game has never really made sense to me. Let me clarify: I understand what the game is, I just never understood why someone would feel so emotionally attached to a dating simulation that marriage to said virtual girlfriend becomes a legitimate idea in one’s mind. But that’s neither here nor there, I guess.
More to the point, Konami has just registered a new website domain for an upcoming 2013 title developed by Love Plus series producer Akira Uchida and artist Mino Taro. While the site offers little in the way of details and Konami has yet to make any sort of official announcement, it’s clear enough the game will be another dating sim of some sort and include at least six ladies for you to, umm, date?
Judging by the success of Love Plus I assume at the very least the game will be available on the 3DS, but beyond that and a release date of 2013 there’s not much to go on. We’ll see soon enough I imagine.
How many of you play Love Plus? Would you be interested in a new project by the same primary team? It might seem like I’m ragging on you guys, but I don’t care what you play. If a game interests you and you’re not forcing anyone else to be a part of something they’re uncomfortable with, then keep on keeping on. Far be it from me to judge someone based on their hobbies. But seriously, who wants to go in on a pool to see who marries a girl from this new game first…
