Fellow Monster Hunters, mark your calendars: Capcom announced today that a demo for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be available for download on both the Wii U and the 3DS on February 21st.
In addition to the upcoming demo, Capcom revealed that the Wii U version will support full voice chat during online play using the Wii U gamepad’s built in microphone: no bizarre headset set-ups needed here. This is in addition to an earlier statement where Capcom also announced that the game will also support USB keyboards (via a small day 1 patch,) for players who (for some reason) don’t want to communicate using the Wii U’s mic.
Capcom also finalized the release date for both versions of the game: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will hit both the 3DS and the Wii U on March 19th. This marks the first North American release of a Monster Hunter game since the original version of Monster Hunter Tri hit the Wii in 2010. Just to drive home the fact that yes, long suffering Monster Hunter fans in the US are finally getting a new version of MH to play with, here’s the final box art for the North American versions of the game:
