With Apple recently releasing their list of top iOS apps for 2012 we were sure that Google will follow soon. Well the wait is finally over as Google recently revealed their top Android apps for 2012. The list contains popular apps and some which you might not even be familiar with. The apps come from various categories and represent the best of what the Google Play store has to offer.

Evernote

  • A free app that lets you take notes and more and store them on the cloud. You will be able to synch your notes across several platforms.

Pinterest

  • Let’s you easily share your passion with your friends by pinning various photos that you see on the web.

Grimm’s Snow White

  • This is an interactive pop-up storybook that’s great for children.

Pocket

  • A great app that lets you save anything you find in the web for viewing at a later time.

Expedia Hotels & Flights

  • Book hotels, save on flights and get great discounts on your next holiday vacation with this app.

Ancestry

  • You will be able to build and manage your family tree with this app.

Fancy

  • Fancy is an app that lets you discover, collect and buy from a crowd-curated catalog of amazing goods, wonderful places and great stores.

SeriesGuide Show Manager

  • This app allows you to manage watching and re-watching all of your favorite TV shows.

Pixlr Express

  • A fun and easy to use photo editing app that comes with more than 600 filters, overlays, and borders to personalize any photo that you have.

TED

  • The acronym stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design. This app allows you to easily find speakers who provide “riveting talks by remarkable people free to the world”.
