If you were one of the few people that bought Playstation All Stars Battle Royale last month, or if you donated to the awesome Sportsfriends kickstarter, chances are you’re in the market for some extra Playstation controllers. Now’s a good time to pick them up too, as Sony just announced some temporary price cuts to PS3 peripherals at participating retailers.
The discounts range anywhere from 20-60%, and the sale begins tomorrow at most major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop. Highlights from the sale include Dual Shock 3’s for $40, Bluetooth headsets for $30, and Playstation Move starter kits for $50. If you recently donated to Sony’s Sportsfriends Kickstarter, trust me when I tell you that JS Joust is worth getting a couple Move controllers for. I saw it demoed at last year’s Indiecade, and just watching other people play it was more fun than actually playing some games.
In addition to those deals, the recently released Wonderbook: Book of Spells will see a price cut as well: the standalone game will see its price reduced to $29.99, while a bundle including the game, a PS Move controller, and the Sony Eye camera will retail for $59.99. At that price, it might be worth getting just so you can do this.
