Amazon Unveils “Kindle Free Time Unlimited” Service For Kids

Amazon Unveils “Kindle Free Time Unlimited” Service For Kids

Chad Buenaflor 05 Dec

Amazon recently announced a new service that targets young kids with ages 3-8 using the All New Kindle Fire and Kindle HD. The service called Kindle Free Time Unlimited aims to give kids unlimited access to various content ranging from books, apps, games, movies and TV shows.

The best part about this service is that it takes away the hassle parents have to go through on deciding which content is age appropriate. The thousands of content available are already hand-picked and suitable for kids. The content made available also do not have any ads on them or in-app purchases which usually is a concern for most parents.

If you just recently bought a Kindle Fire, Kindle HD or the Kindle Fire HD 8.9” then your device already comes with a one month free trial to Kindle Free Time Unlimited. At the end of the free trial you may opt to continue the service at a low monthly fee of just $2.99 for Amazon Prime members.

Here’s how to get started using the one month free service.

  1. Tap on the Kindle FreeTime app in the app library
  2. If this is your first time to launch the app you will be required to setup a password and a profile for your kid.
  3. You can either tap on the “Start Free Trial- Single Child Plan” or “Start Free Trial- Family Plan” to start the service.
  4. Make sure to activate the app on or before January 15, 2013 to avail of the one month free trial.

Kids will love using this service since they can choose on their own what books to read, movies to watch or games to play. All of their favorite characters will be included in the service such as Buzz Lightyear, Elmo, Dora, and Curious George just to name a few.
