Steam’s Big Picture mode finally ended it’s lengthy beta today, and now the controller and TV friendly UI is available for all Steam users. To mark the occasion Valve is throwing another one of their big Steam sales, featuring deep discounts on controller-enabled games.
Some of the games included in the sale are Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, Magicka, both Lego Harry Potter games, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, Sonic Generations, Orcs Must Die 2, and the recently released and frankly pretty amazing stealth game, Mark of the Ninja. A full listing of what’s on sale can be seen here. All the games included in the sale are titles that feature “full controller support,” meaning they play just as well with a controller as they do with a mouse and keyboard.
My wallet is still recovering from the last Steam sale, so I probably won’t buy too many games this time, but if you’re interested in trying out Steam’s fancy new console-esque UI with some new games, you should act now: the sale ends in a week’s time, on December 10th.
