Playstation All-Stars Beta test expands to all PS+ subscribers, Vita owners tomorrow

Want to try out Sony’s take on Smash Bros. before the game comes out? Well, you’re in luck, because Sony is expanding the game’s closed beta to all PS+ members and Vita owners tomorrow.

The beta version of the game lets you play as Twisted Metal’s Sweet Tooth, General Radic from Killzone, Sly Cooper, Parappa the Rapper, Fat Princess, and God of War’s perpetually perturbed poster boy Kratos. The beta is limited to just two of the game’s stages and the only match type it allows is a four player free-for-all, but it should be more than enough to give you a feel for how the final product will end up.

I wasn’t terribly impressed with Playstation All Stars Battle Royale when I played it at E3 — I felt that God of War Ascension’s multiplayer provided a far more interesting and frantic brawling experience — but it seems like the developers behind PS All Stars are actively listening to feedback and are doing their best to make the game as fun as possible before its November 20th release date.

And hey, at the very least, this might be the closest we ever get to seeing another Parappa the Rapper game, so it’s worth playing for him alone, right? …Right?
