Dance Central 3 Demo available for Xbox 360

Dance Central 3 Demo available for Xbox 360

John Sukowaty 06 Oct

If you have an Xbox 360 (with Kinect), a Microsoft Live Gold account and the ability to dance the night away, you might want to sink you teeth into this next demo.  This week, gamers were able to get a look at the latest from Dance Central as the Dance Central 3 demo hit the Microsoft Live Marketplace.  This might be a good time to plan a party with your friends and get down and funky!  The demo comes with Dance Central 3’s Party Time mode which puts the game into standby mode and turns on whenever a person stands in front of the TV and high-fives the person next to them.

The demo allows you to dance to “On the Floor” by Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5’s “Moves like Jagger” or Nick Minaj’s “Starships”.  The Dance Central 3 full version comes with 40 other songs, featuring the three songs listed and others from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.  That way there should not be a single person in the house that cannot jam to music they are familiar with at anytime during the party.  The demo will give you a taste of what is to come on the new game which features a storyline about time travel.

Basically, the dance crews you can play on the full version are members of a group called the Dance Central Intelligence, which seems sort of corny to me, but whatever.  The group then travels back in time to discover dances from the past.  The knowledge they gain by doing that allows them to fight “dance crimes” in the present day.

I am not a dancer, or a gamer that loves cheesy storylines, so I will not likely play this game, but that does not mean you shouldn’t check out the demo, schedule that party and hook yourself up with the game when it arrives on shelves October 16th.
