If you watched last night’s debate, or any debate for that matter, you probably caught a few moments when either candidate looked like they wanted to throw out their prepared and polished remarks for something a little rougher. After all, they’ve spent the last year and a half flinging insults at one another through the media or their various political and personal representatives. But when they stand up on that podium they pretend they’re just a couple of honest gentlemen with nothing more than a few policy disagreements. We all know the truth, at some point both of them have thought about punching the other one. Well thanks to the magic of the internet and the Slatester YouTube channel we can now live out the fantasy of watching a handful of political opponents pummel each other, Mortal Kombat style.
I tend to follow politics, although these days most people do as the coverage is hard to miss. Besides being accurate in the gaming sense, with each of their various political opinions used as actual fighting game attacks, it’s also pretty accurate in the political sense as well. The Republican primary campaign has been broken down in to a series of actual fights between the candidates, my favorite, linked above, is the pincer attack of Romney vs. Cain & Santorum. This was something that actually happened earlier this year and it captures not only the ridiculousness of a political campaign, but a whole bunch of details right down to Santorum’s silly sweater vests and Cain’s creepy series of ads.
There are a few more videos which I will link below and I hope that there will be more to come in the future. They have yet to put out an Obama vs. Romney video, but when they do I’m sure it will be a blood bath.
