Playstation Collections offer God of War, Infamous bundles at bargain price

Do you have a PS3? Have you somehow managed to skip out on the entire God of War trilogy, or the both inFamous games? Do you have forty bucks? If you answered yes to all 3 of those questions, you should be very happy right now.

Today Sony announced the launch of “Playstation Collections,” a brand new budget-line of game bundles for the PS3. Sure, every console has its own line of budget re-releases (Greatest Hits, Platinum Hits, Nintendo Selects, etc.,) but Sony’s new line of collections should get even the most frugal of gamers to pop their wallets open.

The inFamous Collection predictably packages together inFamous 1 and 2, as well as the previously download-only Festival of Blood, in one convenient box for only $40. While the inFamous Collection is a great deal, the God of War Saga Collection is even better. GoW Saga includes all 3 “main” GoW games, plus the HD versions of both PSP side-stories for a mere $40.

I hate to sound like an infomercial, but you’d be pretty crazy to pass up on that deal. That’s five of the best action games ever made for less than the cost of one new game! I have no idea how Sony is going to turn a profit with deals like this, but speaking as someone who loves games and is also consistently broke, I’m not going to complain if Sony continues to offer games at these rock bottom prices either. So, how about an Uncharted or a Motorstorm collection next?
