Remember a few months back when Dead or Alive 5’s director said that they would tone down the fan service in the latest entry of Tecmo’s infamously bouncy fighter? Yeah, I think it’s safe to say now that he was lying.
As the trailer above illustrates, Dead or Alive is as shameless as it ever was. I actually enjoyed playing (not oggling) the game at this year’s E3, so perhaps there is some substance to go with the game’s… uh, “style,” but this trailer makes it pretty clear that the female form is still definitely one of DoA’s main focuses.
Fighting game fans and guys who want to find their waifu only have two more months to wait until DoA5 hits the Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 25th. It’s the first main entry in the series to be developed without any input from ousted Team Ninja head Tomonobu Itagaki, so it’ll be interesting to see how the DoA team fairs without their outspoken leader.
Oh, and there’s boobies.
