Now I’m not a huge football fan but I have been playing these sports games for close to two decades of big chunk of my childhood was spent playing sports games just like this on the Nintendo, Super Nintendo and so fourth. I think we can all remember the nights we spent trying to master the Tecmo Super Bowl game.
NCAA football 13 is the sequel to NCAA football 12 and like all of the years before, a couple upgrades to the experience are in order. NCAA football 13 is a game of its own it is not an expansion but it often feels like you don’t really upgrade enough where or change enough where it’s a completely different game from its predecessor. For example NCAA football 13 has a lot more moves and animations. The game has a lot more tactics you can implement in the game play compared to NCAA football 12, but the big game play itself and the graphics are more or less identical.
The game is huge and it appears to have a lot of production value. There is a lot of rich game play and hours of fun to be had. For both the amature and the hard-core football fan and often times the level of people’s love for football is directly connected to how good they are at this game. For example, you can just pick up a NCAA football 13 and play granted you won’t be amazing at it, but it is not like you sit around playing games all day, right? You get the basic gist of the game fairly quickly. So, you get the basic rules but a lot of the more complex strategies are a little hard to master. A lot of the more tactics in the game will go right over your head, if you are not familiar with NCAA football in general. You won’t really know what kind of strategy to use for the more complex situations. The game is not made to be complex and the game can be played by someone who’s just starting off with football.
The online game is far less forgiving. Maybe in the beginning there are a lot more amateur people playing online but as the game progresses and more and more people leave. More people basically get weeded out and only the cream of the crop actually stays to play the game because they’re so good at it and they absolutely love the game. The game is going to become almost impossible if you’re a casual player with this type of game play. So who is this game for? Obviously for people who love football and football games. This is a game for the gamers who are just completely love with football games; they just can’t wait for a game like Madden NFL 13 and the like.
Gamers who are not into football but are looking for a good game to play, it really has a lot for the pure football fan. I cannot see someone who just doesn’t appreciate the sport of football not really enjoying this game. It would just be way too much hassle to learn all the really intricate techniques and strategies. Now people who aren’t really into football or football games but are willing to invest the time and effort and want to learn could enjoy the game over time. I’ve seen this as a good game to start you off because like I said the new, or young gamers can pick it up and play.
