RUMOR: New details about the upcoming Mass Effect DLC surface via Reddit

RUMOR: New details about the upcoming Mass Effect DLC surface via Reddit

Michael Lacerna 10 Jun

You really shouldn’t trust most of the rumors you hear on the internet, especially if they’re posted by some random guy who doesn’t have to put his site or his writing career’s reputation on the line: every message board or comments section out there has some asshole who says he has info on some super-secret project, and usually I take those rumors with a grain of salt. Sure, 99% of the “rumors” you hear on the internet are outright lies, but a new post on Reddit about the upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC seems like it might just be true.

What makes this particular rumor believable is that it comes from Reddit user derptemp6698, who previously leaked very accurate info about Mass Effect 3 earlier this year. According to derptemp, the upcoming Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC will feature additional scenes that detail the aftermath of ME3’s strange (read: pretentious) ending and will further explain the lasting effects of Shepard’s choices throughout the series. If you’re one of those people who’s still whining about how the Mass Effect 3 ruined everything forever, you better get all that bitching out now, because it sounds like the free DLC will fix all of your hyperbolic complaints.

The poster also dug up some details regarding Mass Effect 3’s new multiplayer update: the upcoming “Earth” DLC package will aptly focus on humans and their home planet, and will feature 3 new maps set in Vancouver, London, and Brazil. In addition to that, human characters will soon gain access to the Destroyer, Demolisher, Paladin, Shadow, Slayer, and Fury classes. Everyone I know who still plays ME3 multiplayer seems to hate playing as the human classes (let’s face it, the aliens are just more interesting,) but hopefully this new update will give us boring old humans a few more interesting options in combat.

Again, this info, like most rumors, come from some guy on the internet, so there’s a chance they might not be true, but again, this time these particular tidbits of info are coming from a source with a proven track record.
