… At least as far as spoofs are concerned. I was hoping to see some good spoofs this week, what with E3 and all, but this certainly isn’t what I expected. Not that I mind, sometimes the satire surrounding a product is more informative than the product itself. Here it’s clear that everyone’s having a laugh at all of the family fun that could be had with the Wii-U. Look how much fun they’re all having! I bet that dad doesn’t know what his wife was complaining about all these years. It makes me want to invite all of my friends over to have a labor breathing contest.
Ok seriously, you have to kind of feel bad for the actors who filmed the original, especially the dad, because it’s beyond ridiculous. Obviously someone took an old Wii commercial and just changed the screen, but the whole scene, from the dad squirming on the floor to his daughters cheering him on, fits together well enough to induce cringes. I guess this is what happens when someone has a little too much time on their hands and decides to see what sort of things they can do with stock birthing footage. I really hope the original actors see this at some point soon, especially the dad.
