Only If You Could Drive This Lamborghini

Only If You Could Drive This Lamborghini

Richard Dang 02 May

What’s your favourite Lamborghini model? I was thinking the ASUS-Automobili Lamborghini VX7SX, but in this case, it isn’t a car. The VX7SX is a top of the line performance gaming laptop. As you might have noticed, it was designed by Lamborghini, the Italian grand touring car manufacturer. If you look at the similarities between the car and the laptop, you can even see that there are ‘tail lights’ on the laptop. Just like the touring car, this laptop is built for speed, in style.

The VX7SX is made from official Automobili Lamborghini materials and design. The gaming laptop comes in both carbon black and official orange, depending on whichever fits   your style. It features many motifs from Lamborghini designs, including leather-trimmed palm rests, an engine start key, rear exhaust, taillight assembly, and the their bull logo. There’s not much to say about this laptop except you’ll be gaming in luxury instead of driving in it.

The most impressive spec of the VX7SX is the graphics card, running the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM. Although it’s not the newest or most powerful GPU, it  is enough ‘horsepower’ to play max on most of your modern games. Because Asus only relies on dedicated GPUs, Intel Graphics 3000 won’t be enabled. That means that there will not be switchable graphics for energy saving purposes. Since the VX7SX is a gaming laptop it will be more customizable but the standard CPU is a Intel Core i7 Processor 2630QM @2GHz. With up to 16GB of DDR3 1333 MHz RAM (4 x SO-DIMM socket) who knows how fast this laptop can really run.

Storage on the other hand ranges from 500GB to 750GB (7200rpm). If you went with the 500GB HDD, there is a built in 4GB of SSD memory for your Window’s files in order to speed up the booting process. The screen is a 15.6″ FullHD (1080p) LED backlight display  which is maximum resolution for laptops currently. If you’re planning to use this gaming laptop without a nearby outlet, it wouldn’t be in your best interest because you will only get about 3 hours and 30 minutes of battery life on idle. This is with an 8-cell 5200 mAh battery, guess how long it would last you if you were to game on it without your power adaptor (HINT: less than 2 hours).

The VX7SX’s I/O interface is pretty standard when it comes to laptop. There is a microphone-in jack, headphone-out jack, VGA port, a USB 3.0 port, three USB 2.0 ports, one RJ45 LAN Jack, a 5 -in-1 card reader, and an HDMI port. There are also built-in speakers with Creative Audigy HD audio, a built-in microphone and a 2.0 megapixel fixed web camera. You also have the choice of a super-multi DVD or Blu-ray optical drive. Like most gaming laptops, you’ll expect it to very thick and heavy. The VX7SX is 5.70 -5.90 cm thick, almost double the thinness of a normal laptop with a weight of 3.82 kg (with 8 cell battery).
