The Walking Dead Game Hits in April, $5 Per Episode

The Walking Dead Game Hits in April, $5 Per Episode

Michael Lacerna 20 Mar

Telltale announced today that the first episode of their upcoming Walking Dead adventure games will be available sometime during “late April.” Telltale’s episodic adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s bleak zombie epic will retail for $5 on PSN and Steam or 400 MSP on Xbox Live Arcade.

If the trailer above is enough to convince you to commit to a whole five episode season of The Walking Dead, you can order a full season pass for $25 from Telltale’s online store. Deadheads who preorder the season will receive a ten percent discount, lowering the price of the game to $22.50.

After Telltale’s infamous un-interactive take on Jurassic Park, I’m still a little apprehensive about putting any money down for their next game. Still, $5 is well within impulse buy territory, and I’m a huge fan of The Walking Dead, so I think I’ll at least give the first episode a shot. At the very least, it’ll make the wait for the third season of the show a little easier to bear.
