Just last week EA announced the sequel to the reboot of the Medal of Honor series. EA Los Angeles is back on the reigns for this project and the game will sport the–now standard–Frostbite 2 engine. That same engine will be running behind both the single and multiplayer aspects, which are both being developed in house this time.
Having unity between the single player and multiplayer will be welcome to many who noticed inconsistencies in Medal of Honor. In addition, there will be a new Co-op mode that is separate from the single-player campaign.
It has also been announced that there will be four new units that will be a part of the campaign, but no story elements have been announced yet, or even whether this is a direct sequel or a brand new story.
Warfighter is set for release this October for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, for MSRP of $59.99
