Long suffering Wii owners, the drought is over: XSEED Games announced today that they will be publishing Mistwalker’s action-RPG epic The Last Story in North America. The Last Story was published by Nintendo in Japan and Europe, but the North American branch of the hardware giant stupidly refused to bring the game over themselves. Thankfully, XSEED is picking up the ball that Nintendo of America fumbled, and now North American J-RPG fans will get to play this apparently great game.

XSEED has announced that The Last Story will hit American Wii’s sometime this summer. With this and Xenoblade (which comes out in April,) it’s a good time to be a fan of J-RPG’s. Now if only Nintendo had managed to release games like this on a consistent basis for the previous six years of the Wii’s life…
