Majesty was an old gem of a game in which you played a king, but unlike other RTS games, Majesty had one major gameplay difference. The direct control you had over your subjects was minimal. Instead, you had to post bounties on monsters and areas to entice them into doing anything. A very unorthodox system, but it worked. Now, Warlock is coming.
Warlock: Master of the Arcane has you playing the Great Mage who wants to build a magic empire, and strike down the other spellcasters to attain the title of Warlock. Like you would expect from modern and traditional TBS games set in a fantasy world, the game contains research on spells, multiple fantasy races, and claims to have a city management system that is innovative and avoids routine actions.
The screenshots show the world in the form of hexes, much like the Civilization series, with each hex having something about it, being of a single biome or having an event item in it. From the screenshots, we can tell it will involve naval warfare, a huge amount of monsters and units of varying sizes, and probably the same highly-addictive “Just one more turn and I’ll go to bed… WHAT YEAR IS IT!?” gameplay.
