Max Payne 3 Delayed as Take-Two Profits Drop

Max Payne 3 Delayed as Take-Two Profits Drop

Michael Lacerna 17 Jan

Those looking forward to Max Payne’s next pistol-dive filled adventure will now have to wait until May, as the game’s publisher Take-Two announced that the game has been delayed an extra 2 months from it’s original March ship date.

Take-Two also announced that it was adjusting its expected profit forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 31, as they expect to make almost 230 million less in profits than they had originally projected. While 2011 was a lean year for the company, in 2012 Take Two will be publishing Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2, and XCom in addition to Max Payne 3, so hopefully this amazing lineup of big games will generate some cash flow for the company.

Personally, I can’t complain about the delay myself: it’s always good to see a publisher give a game the dev time it needs, and March is already loaded with big titles as is.
