Music is always a large part of creating an atmosphere in any game and some would say even more important in horror/survival title. Much like the original American Nightmare will once again create this atmosphere by using licensed tracks in addition to standard composers to bring Night Springs alive.
EMI Music Publishing has partnered once again with Remedy Entertainment to bring indie-rock artist Kasabian and Mercury-Prize winner Ed Harcourt into the fold. Kasabian will be using their single “Club Foot” for the game, while Ed Harcourt will offer his own “Watching the Sun Come Up”.
Oskari Häkkinen, Head of Franchise Development at Remedy, also had this to share: “to spice things up a little more, Alan’s old-time buddy and literary agent Barry Wheeler has become the manager of the game’s seminal rock-band Old Gods of Asgard – expect a brand new single to be included with the game!”
It should be another great adventure with Alan Wake this February 15, which will be available on Xbox Live Arcade.

“Having already worked with Remedy on their previous Alan Wake title we were more than happy to continue our relationship with them and I believe that our combined ability to select and supervise moody tracks for Remedy’s upcoming action-adventure will result in a better gameplay experience.” said Andreas Olsson, VP Sales at EMI Music Publishing Scandinavia.
