Grapevine fails again, THQ is not going under.

Grapevine fails again, THQ is not going under.

Rian Quenlin 15 Jan

A rumor on the grapevine has once again been debunked. The rumor was that THQ had cancelled their projects and that they were up for sale. This is absolutely false and a complete and utter lie spawned from the tweet of some nobody that no one has heard of. The rumor of course spread like wildfire, but an employee of THQ has stood up and said it was false. Once again, it’s false, just to be clear.

A tweet by Kevin Dent said that he heard THQ was offering themselves to Asian firms to increase value. To be honest I have no idea who he is but he should be ashamed of himself for rumor-mongering without citing a source, and sites like NeoGaf should equally be ashamed of themselves for parroting such rumors. This here is a post from LoneGamer on Reddit who is employed by THQ/Relic saying he has not had any projects cancelled. If any news like this was coming out, I’m 100% sure that the employees would know well before everyone else.

Kevin Dent did not give any comment when asked for a citation on his statement.
