CES 2012 – Samsung Notebook Series 9 Preview

CES 2012 – Samsung Notebook Series 9 Preview

Zack Dodge 12 Jan

Live from the show floor lies a new notebook unit from Samsung this year, amongst some impressive specs, the new Series 9 looks to take aim at the Mac Book Air. Weighing in at just under 3 lbs, this notebook is meant for portability, but certainly doesn’t sacrifice any durability. The shell of the Series 9 is made of Duralumin, which is actually used in aircraft parts. This makes the shell of the laptop as strong as aluminum, but still sheds some extra weight due to the material.

When looking at a notebook with specs that allow portability like this, it really begins to blend the craze of tablets, with the sit down power of a traditional laptop. This Series 9 notebook looks like a great alternative for those who do not want to sacrifice functionality from a laptop, but still get that stream line portability from something like a tablet. This is an impressive unit that deserves our attention, not to mention its gorgeous. Have a look at the specs below, as I will also provide some pics from the show floor.
