HiSense Transparent LED Display – Prototype

HiSense Transparent LED Display – Prototype

Nick Hernandez 10 Jan

Last year, we covered HiSense’s Android powered TV which was one of the first of its kind during 2011 CES. This year is no different, while walking around their booth, which was 10 times the size of their last years booth, I came across this gem of a display which is my second favorite device of CES so far. I must note that this is just a prototype device to show that a transparent display is possible so no real specs or a release date was given.

However, despite my pictures showing otherwise you could see everything on the screen fairly clear but of course the bowl of apples was still visible as well. For this product to ever make it main stream, they would need to figure out how to get the brightness up much higher especially for those who don’t mount it on the wall. But that almost seems like a requirement to view properly. Like I said, there isn’t much information about this transparent LED display but I do know that it is awesome and if it is ever release I would definitely try to get my hands on it.

Let me know your thoughts, would you purchase such a device?
