Clint Mansell, a composer who you may not know by name, but by the work he has done in films such as Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler, all of which were critically acclaimed, is now on board to do some music for a critically acclaimed game, Mass Effect 3. The best part about this news is that he is not the only high profile composer working on this game.
In addition to Mansell Ea/Bioware have also hired on Christopher Lennertz, Emmy nominated Hollywood composer known for his work on the recent movie Horrible Bosses, also composed Mass Effect 2: Overlord, Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker, and won the Interactive Academy Award forMedal of Honor; Cris Velasco, known for composing the God of War series’ score, has also worked on downloadable content Mass Effect 2: Kasumi and Mass Effect 2: Arrival; and finally Sam Hulick and Sascha Dikiciyan who have both done work on the previous Mass Effect titles.
When you combine so many great artists on top of beautiful visuals and awesome gameplay you have something that borderline nears perfection. I can not wait to hear the score for this game and I will buy the soundtrack if any of Clint Mansells’ work is on it.
Mass Effect 3 will be released March 9th, 2012 for PS#, Xbox 360 and PC.
