Recently, the news whether or not Sony’s newest handheld will allow for multiple PSN accounts per device or not and we finally have solid answers. A PSN account is not only tied to just a memory card, it’s tied to both the card and the Vita it’s self, Sony told Wired.
What this means for the customer is that “If a second person is using your Vita, it’s not just a case of switching out memory cards, it’s clearing out all of your saved data on the Vita itself when you do the factory reset.” Which, I guess, is their way of trying to combat piracy and make sure no one tries any work around (like that will ever work) in addition annoying the customers of families. Hopefully you didn’t plan on sharing your handheld with a sibling or use that Japanese account to get import games on your American Vita.

Do they like… do this on purpose?

I like how instead of fixing the hardware they just fix their story.
