Perhaps the era of desktops for average and recreational use is past us, as another All-In-One (AIO) from Lenovo has been added to the lineup. This one is labeled the C325, which features an impressive 20” touch display. The lower end of this model doesn’t have the touch option but both come with an AMD E450 dual core processor. This is a considerable performance boost over the previous range of All-In-Ones that had issues when performing demanding tasks, especially the ones from Lenovo as they featured Atom processors. In addition, there is an integrated GPU, the ATI Radeon 6320 coupled with a whopping 8GB of RAM and 1 terabyte of storage space. There is also an in built DVD burner, though the lack of Blu-ray is quite galling considering the otherwise stellar specs of the device.
The key feature of this computer is the display. With a huge 20” screen set at 1600×900 resolution and supporting multi touch, every move can be controlled with just a swipe or even less. Moreover, the response time of the screen is quite low so it is quick to move and with the new processor, working is a pleasure. The design of the entire system optimizes on space and is the best solution for a home personal computer. There is also an HDMI out port for viewing on large displays and users have the option of a USB 3.0 port for future peripheral devices.
While all the specifications make for a great deal at a mere $600, it is known that AMD processors tend to heat up rather quickly and with this AIO chassis, the propensity is higher. Experts and critics alike are worried about this but Lenovo seems to think this is not going to affect it. With great looks and performance, this AIO has everything one could ask for.
