Today, Nintendo announced a milestone that they have been working toward since the original release of the original DS. According to NDP, Nintendo has sold 50 million units in the US after being in the market for seven years and after they continue to make successors of basically the same product, people continue to buy it.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has also surpassed half a million units sold in the US while the 3DS handheld it’s self has sold 450,000 units since it’s price drop late in August and over 260,000 units just last month. Not sure the total amount of 3DS’ sold to date but seems almost every 3DS owner has a copy of Zelda.
