The revolution has definitely started after Sony showcased their futuristic visor, which seems strikingly similar to the visor Cyclops(X-men)wears, during the Computer Electronics Show (CES) earlier in January. Sony Corporation has confirmed the release of the world’s first 3D “head-mounted” visor to be November 11. The Visor seems to to have changed slightly from its inital CES Appearance, but Sony has stayed true to the specifications they highlighted months ago. The HMZ-T1 Visor will prove to take the world of 3D gaming and movies to new heights, posing the biggest screen available today – a 750 inch screen, literally mounted on your head. Who would not like that?
The two 1280×720, 0.7-inch OLED panels that are mounted in front of each eye will give the user the ability of viewing a 750-inch screen from 20m away, 5.1 surround sound headphones are also integrated to the head mount. This revolutionary 3D Visor is expected to priced around ¥60,000 for its initial release in Japan, which would be roughly around $783. The hefty price only justifies Sony’s strong pursuit to the field of 3D, which seems to have been very fruitful thus far. It is with innovations like these that really change the face of technology, and with this Visor looking to be marketed as both a gaming device and a movie viewer. This will likely impact an even wider audience, and big revolutionary change may be upon us.

ABOUT DAMN TIME THESE SHOWED UP!
Andy Codina
Yeah, about damn time there was something really worth the money. I feel $783 is cheap for this device. They could have really abused it and went overboard, you know…

We’re getting closer to 3D interative porn.
Andy Codina
I really never thought about that when I wrote this, but yeah, good point! Makes it much more interesting and made it even more price worthy.
Do You Really Want to Know?
Sorry to burst your bubble, but 3D visors have been out for a while now, this is just the first big brand name one…
