3D doesn’t seem to be too exciting nowadays after Nintendo and Sony focused into the development to push stereoscopic 3D gaming to all new heights. Well, they did well as 3D has been widely accepted and highly regarded by gamers worldwide , most high-end game releases are sure to have stereoscopic 3D capabilities as it seems to have been a vital requirement for the modern age gamer. On the other hand, Microsoft has been sitting on the sideline with the 3D technology, and we have not seen much action from them in regards to pushing for some development into 3D gaming.
However, all that is about to change as Microsoft is finally taking its first step and getting on the 3D boat with its recent announcement for the Xbox 360 remake of the highly regarded FPS game icon of the modern era – Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Which fans can expect to arrive in stores in the middle of November.Microsoft has certainly come out of the box and they have seem to have done so in the perfect time for the perfect game. Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary 3D will certainly be the game to look out for this holiday.
Obviously, a 3DTV will be necessary to enjoy the stereoscopic 3D feature and fans will be able to see it, on display, over at the on-going Penny Arcade Expo as part of the Halo Fest sub-event. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is a remake release of the original Halo: Combat Evolved. It will also be compatible with Microsoft Kinect, which is one of the most anticipated features of this release. The Kinect compatibility somehow raises a few questions with fans as how the gameplay would be altered with Kinect’s seemingly inaccurate physics, particularly when you are talking about an FPS game with the reputation and quality of Halo: Combat Evolved. However, gamers are offered the ability to switch between classic and updated graphics with one button press.
Developers Saber Interactive, 343 Industries, and Certain Affinity has promised that this new release will offer a fully remastered gameplay, top of the line physics, a whole new campaign, Xbox Live co-op support, a bunch of new maps and other gameplay tweaks that will surely make this game the best FPS release of the season.
