As you know, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D only has one save slot, and it cannot be deleted. This has caused many gamers to be absolutely furious as a result, especially those who want to sell or give away games that they have already completed. Or those who, like me, play afresh every now and then.
Even though Capcom has officially said that this was not intended to curb used game sales, they also said that it was the most sensible option for a game like The Mercenaries. Bull. However, they did say that the controversy of it is enough for them to not use it in future titles.
In the latest Ask Capcom, Christian Svensson said “I think it’s fair to say there was never quite the malicious intent the conspiracy theorists out there would have you believe, It’s also fair to say in light of the controversy it’s generated I don’t think you’re going to see something like this happening again.” in the video interview.
I’m still dissatisfied, personally. Take the game off the shelves, fix what you broke, and put it back on. The reason I’m personally let down is because of blatant outright lies, namely claiming that the data is written to the cart and cannot be reset. Sorry, but even though I’m not a computer expert, I know that there is no such thing as editable data that cannot be reset.
