Even though it was only released recently, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been purchased by 20% of the 3DS owners in the United Kingdom. Quite excellent sales considering the British gaming market being rather lackluster at times due to how stingy we are.
The improved graphics and interface of the game, which is considered by a good portion of gamers to be one of the greatest games ever created, is a driving force behind 3DS sales. Nintendo consoles never break, and when they do, some compressed air fixes it. However, in these modern times, and it pains me to say this, we find old polygons with low-res textures unappealing. Hideous in some cases.
Nintendo has stated that the 3DS has fallen short of expectations, and they understand that not everyone fully appreciates the 3D screen. The 3DS however is getting many franchises on it. Not just Zelda, but also Metal Gear, Resident Evil, and Star Fox. There is not an awful lot over the DS outside of its maximum power, but it’s there. Whenever such a thing will actually take off and isn’t simply suffering from a slow start remains to be seen. Nintendo has had their mistakes in the past, but they will definitely do it right the second time around. Don’t think the DS is the first console with two screens or that the 3DS is the first with 3D viewing.

I have no doubt that once Mario Kart and other Marios come on line I think the 3DS will really start to Rock!
