Agent 47, expert sniper, master of disguise, firearms specialist, and all-round badass is returning in a new Hitman game made official by IO Interactive. A link on IO Interactive’s twitter account showed a small teaser on YouTube, confirming its existence.
Though the games focused on a largely-episodic format in which Agent 47 was sneaking into mansions, Russian bases, and red-light districts to assassinate a few select targets and slip out without anyone noticing, Absolution will apparently focus more on Agent 47 himself as he is caught up in a conspiracy. They will be retaining the original game mechanics of sandboxed missions, disguises, and being able to say “TO HELL WITH IT!” and slaughtering everyone in the level with a minigun.
Hitman: Absolution will make its world debut at E3 next month, and will be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
