The Gears of War 3 beta started this week, and Epic games has some serious plans to keep things fresh every week until mid May. Below I have provided the Beta schedule over the next few weeks that offers some nice variety in both map and gametype. Nothing will be taken away, just new stuff added, so you should enjoy your time throughout and give lots of opportunity to get your challenges complete.
April 18th – April 24th: TDM on Thrashball and Checkout.
April 25th – May 1st: TDM and KOTH on Thrashball, Checkout, and Trenches.
May 2nd – May 8th: TDM, KOTH, and CTL on Thrashball, Checkout, Trenches, and Old Town.
May 9th – May 15th: TDM, KOTH, and CTL on Thrashball, Checkout, Trenches, and Old Town.
Hope this helps and stay tuned at the end of the week. IGX has a code or two to give away for the April 25th kick off date, so get commenting so we know if there is some interest.

When are you announcing the winners? I really needed a code.

The code wont work until April 25th, so even if you had a code right now, you could not use it yet. The winner will be informed before the 25th (this weekend). The only people in the beta right now are press or bulletstorm owners. So dont feel like you have missed out yet, there is 3 weeks of beta left as of April 25th.

I’ve wanted to partake in the beta for quite some time, but unfortunately the place I pre-ordered Gears 3 at wasn’t giving away codes. I’ve been a massive Gears fan since it’s launch. I have every book, comic, and even a shirt, but I can’t find a single code, unfortunately…
If you guys come across more codes I would love to get one. I’ll take one regardless of how late into the beta it is. If i could get any time with it I would be happy.
