The Playstation 3 has been a surprise to many for its lack of memorable RPGs considering its predecessors have enjoyed several within the same period of time since launch of the console. White Knight Chronicles seemed to be a title that would finally bring the popular JRPG style to Sonys console. Though it was seldom heralded and lacked critical or even commercial success, it was still enjoyed by some.
This summer could be an exciting time for those that really did enjoy Level-5’s White Knight Chronicles as the sequel will be making its way to North America. It will still be a PS3 exclusive and will pick up the story a year after the game. Though it retains much of the same setting it will introduce some freshness to keep players busy.
White Knight Chronicles II will include more than 400 weapon and armour pieces, which will come in handy for the game’s retooled combat system. Level-5 also added new options to the game’s online multiplayer functionality, allowing gamers to create their own custom avatars, as well as introducing new skill types and spells.
